Offline | Dear All, I will be leaving my Mini unused for a whole month as I am going away on hols. Thankfully I have managed to sort out a nice dry garage for her, which is nice, but I was wondernig if there is anything extra I should do? For instance I'm thinking of disconnecting the battery, or is there no need? Is there a point in leaving the windows slightly open (by an inch)? Apart from that I am obviously giving her a wash and hoover. Thanks in advance for any feedback. Riccardo 12/02 Cooper Indi Blue/White |

| Awwww %%%% it! | After mine was left for 2 weeks while on holiday I had to get Emergency Services out as it wouldn't start - turns out the battery was flat. I'd suggest getting a friend/family member to give the car a turn over and quick run occasionally if possible - I'm sure you'd find lots of volunteers on here to do that for you too ![]() |

Offline | Soggy, thats not really possible as it will be locked up away in a dry barn which is not accessed very regularly. Anand, all well, thanks! Sorry, I owe you an email... Rattles sorted!! The car feels the most solid its ever felt, Hexagon did a great jon and their customer service was super, well reccommended. Going where on Sunday? Probably not as I have 1000 things to do before I go. Thanks for the feedback! Riccardo 12/02 Cooper Indi Blue/White |

Offline | Kevin, There were loads of rattles, the boot hatch was loose, the seatbelt mounts squeeked (right beside your ear), something from the dash, and a few more just for good measure. It came to the point I even wanted to sell the car. I live in London and first I went to Stephen James (who delivered the car) and they just buggered things up even more. Lived with that for a month or so and the booked it into Hexagon (in Kentish town), they were really good and for now (1 week) it seems to be better. Bit far for you though I guess... Offline | Cheers mate, I'm at the same point - thinking about selling it. The car's going into Henry Bros next week for the 3rd time in less than 6 months to get them sorted, so I might be chasing you for an address soon! Kev |

Offline | Kev, Its sucks being a perfectionist, doesn't it? The other day I was telling a passenger how I loved the car but hated the rattles, they were like 'what rattles?'. If only I was a bit more deaf. Don't give up on the Mini just yet, let me know if you want the address (though Glasgow to London may be a bit far just for that?). I would reccommend you take your car to another local BM dealer and see what they are like, obviously Henry Bros are not doing enough. Good luck! Riccardo 12/02 Cooper Indi Blue/White |

Offline | Ric, Took the car to HB today to show the tech where the rattles are b4 the girlfriend drops it off on Monday - I think the car knew what was happening 'cause it stopped rattling as soon as he got in. The tech must have thought I was billynaemate looking for a conversation. Anyway, can I have that add as I'll be down London way in the car next week. Cheers Kev |
