MINI of Sterling, the dealership I'm getting my S from, is the sponsor for the Washington, D.C. Region SCCA Solo II/Autocross Series for 2002.
If you're looking to see the MINI run through the cones, there's a good possibility we'll be campaigning one (and possibly an "S")on March 23rd.

MINI USA has recently expressed a very great interest in grassroots motorsports and shows genuine concern for how their cars fair performance wise.

Hopefully they wont be like our local Subaru dealers. When you bought a WRX you got a free SCCA membership. But, if they found out you even auto-x in it they would not honor any warranty issues.

That's terrific!!! Great to hear! Sounds like a lot of fun. I would drive up there for the event but we're having an S2000 event in the Outer Banks that weekend.
