Offline | My 2004 JCW MCS has arrived! After 6+ long months waiting, my 2004 JCW Cooper S has finally arrived. And, as anyone will tell you, it was worth the wait. I haven’t had it over 4K yet, but it screams…power everywhere…the handling is unbelievable...I can’t believe I own this car. Specs: 2004 JCW MCS BRG/W Black Leatherette Premium/Sport/Cold Weather packs Aux In Chrome Grill Rear Fogs Check my gallery for a couple pics. Motor ON! |

Offline | I bought it out of a dealership in Portland, Oregon (Rasmussen Mini, highly recommended)...only 3 hours from Seattle. At the time, they quoted an 8-10 month wait while Mini in Seattle were quoting a 15 month wait for a MCS. |

Offline | performance? Tell us more about the perf. It's frustrating that this is not avail. for test drives...I really wonder what the delta is from the S. The specs are pretty amazing. Are you planning to use the JCW as a daily driver? Regards, Mark, Portland, OR |

Offline | I'm still in my break-in period, so I haven't had it past about 4100 RPM, but the car seems incredibly fast. Realize that this car is so far superior to anything I've had before, that I may be more impressed with the performance than other MINI2 readers. I have also only driven one other Mini, a stock MCS seven months ago, and can’t really judge how different my car is from that one. With that said, the acceleration is smooth and consistent. I don’t seem to have any of the stumble problems some have had (knock on wood)…it’s fast off the line and has strong power up through the gears. It also seems to have lots of power even in low-RPM situations. It will go from cruising at 60 MPH to flying at 90 MPH in a heartbeat. It seems like all you have to do is put your foot down and the car screams off. Honestly, it’s almost too fast for typical Seattle, WA traffic. Luckily, it’s only an occasional commuter as I mostly bus to work. I’ll post an update when I get it over its 1200 mile break-in and can really get on it. |
