Italian Job Scalextric BARGAIN

Hi Guys,

Went into Marks & Spencer today & got one of these Italian Job scalextric sets for £39 reduced from £79

It's made by scalextric despite the Marks & Sparks badging

Great fun

Go get them before they run out

I checked the store i brought my one from and there were none left. I came across the sets by chance when returning a unwanted Xmas pressie.

BTW, they are proving to be as reliable as the real life Mini's, a spring in one of them has worked loose.

i got one cheap because my girlfriend works for marks and spencer so 20% off - £31

however the Red Cooper S doesn't work too well. The bushings are out of alignment and there is no magnet in it Unfortuantly it seems that there aren't any left in the country to replace my set, so I will have to take it to an approved hornby service centre to get a new one

Apart from that it's great. Suprised to see how good the jump is.

Has anyone noticed that you whack the wing mirror off when two cars go down the narrow straight together? I did this and couldn't find it for ages

I'm gonna dig out my old Mini racers and have a retro race later!

must go check some more shops for it, as I have tried the website and it does seem to be on there anymore. I typed the word MINI into the search part and just ended up with loads of womens knickers on screen

Yeah, but I can do a figure of 8 for a fraction of the price, just like that Scalextric set.

To save anyone else the pain I've just endured... don't bother with the big M&S in Camberley - they have sold out as well.

I ended up parking in a nearby DIY store and walked 10 minutes to get to the store. I saw someone I knew in there who had spent 45 minutes driving round to find a space in the main car park.

It was worth going though to see all the normally polite old ladies with blue rinses descending into trolley rage

It's not how fast you go that matters BUT how you go fast.

ok, well today I checked out Sutton Coldfield branch, they have none either Now to think of another M&S near by for tomorrows outing.

I might not have a set, but it is proving to be a reason to leave the house

Oh and did manage to get a wallet from Burtons Menswear, its black leather look, with a white outline of the new MINI on the front, was £8 now £5!!
And was very tempted to get a tiny RC MINI cooper from NEXT for £9.99, but decided against that as I was too sure about it.

Maybe this thread should be entitled MINI in the Sales???
