I'm buying a new MCS... advice needed

I am looking to part-ex my MC 51 plate (early build)
it has Chilli Pack TLC, Sunroof, Alarm (13.5k) and 25.5k on trhe clock.
what do you reckon I will get on part-exing it for 17k MCS? or what should I insist on?

I am looking at a MCS with Chilli pack and Sunroof.... its seems the chilli pack has been upgraded since my 51 MC but at an extra £500!

Any advice anyone can offer me, things to look out for with 04 build???

Are you selling privately or through your dealer? Dealer will always offer lower, and from my own experience they've been seriously stubborn! I am selling my Cooper right now and they originally quoted me £12.5K - today they rang back to give me a final offer of £11.8K. To me that is outrageous - to lower an already given offer....

have a look through autotrader etc and see what similar Minis to yours are advertised and get a good idea of prices. And don't let anyone bully you!

I was looking at part-ex but if I can get a car for the period that I am without the MC before the MCS arrives then I would sell private.

The dealer got back to me, gave me 10k on mine (glasses guide price) he said he would put the car out on the forecort fdor 11.9k... and said if i put it out on private sell at 11.5k..... hmmm

I might pay another dealer a visit, and see what they will offer me.

A dealer recently told me they look to make £1k clear profit on a trade in and to put it through their internal workshop costs about £250. Therefore they would offer ~£1250 less than they would sell it for.

Always worth shopping around as dealer offers can vary wildly.
