Unhappy Remote locking?

Hi,

I purchased my MCS July '03' and when you unlock the car the indicators don't flash, and when you lock the car they flash once.

It's a annoying because you don't know if the car unlocked and if you blink you don't know if its locked.

I have read somewhere the '04' car now blinks for lock\unlock, is this true?if so, does anyone know if '03' cars can be updated?

Thanks,

DS/B, Chilli, fully loaded.

Yes, you understand correctly. My '04 ONE flashes once when locked and twice when unlocked. I think this was a change from cars built from late '03 onwards - not sure if yours can be upgraded though.

I dont know if the '03 cars can be reprogramed - but as an interim solution look at the door knoble - if its up the cars unlocked, doewn and its locked At night the interior light will perform the same function, it comes on when the car is unlocked, and goes out shortly after being locked

This ia favorite method. <with tinted windows you can't see the door lock>

Trust not the heart of a man for whom old clothes, and the Mini, are not venerable!

Send a message via MSN to Chewie
If you have the alarm, you could look for the flashing stalk.

That's what I do
