servicing question

Hi All,

My car is coming upto its first year b'day, so I phoned my local BMW dealer to check it in for a service and was told its not yearly, but every 10000miles i.e when the computer has counted down.

Is this true ?

Cheers

Michael

The only soultion to this drawback to the TLC agreement is to go out there and rack up those MINI miles big time (you may wish to carry out your own oil change however before the scheduled service mileage)

Have you not noticed that when you first switch on the car there is a number displayed in the odometer display?

This is the number of miles estimated till service is required. While this is displayed if you press the little button it will tell you how many days till your brake fluid needs changing also.

Amazing how some people don't read the manual that comes with the car

Send a message via MSN to SoggyCornFlakes
some delaers have done the service early (early mileage not time) for other folks before though, so you may want to ask them if they will do it anyway.

Here in the U.S. I do not believe it is true. My Service Advisor told me since I do not put on more than 10,000 miles a year that I could have my 10,000 mile services on a yearly basis. This is how they handle all their low milage BMW cars. I had my first service at 13 months and 8500 miles.

Motor On!
