Hello all,

I found a thread on the VWVortex message board stating that a special edition Mini will be shown at the Chicago Auto Show. It doesn't say whether its an "S" model or not, but its described as recapturing and honoring a series of victories that helped make the marque legendary.

Sounds like a "Monte Carlo" edition to me. Sorry if this is old news, I haven't seen anything about it on these boards.

I've heard this from several places but so far not the usual sources so I'd still file this in the "uncomfirmed" catagory.

I guess the source is some press release from the Chicago Auto Show offices itself highlighting what the releases will be from each manufacturer and thats where this particular news came from, so take it for what its worth. Whether its true or not who knows.

could just be the JCW one that is at the detroit show right now......
i'm gonna go down to the show anyway, i gotta see that jaguar concept in the flesh!

I remember something about this - if I recall it's just some dolled up (graphics) Cooper. Nothing fundamentally different.
