Question remote control alarm

My insurance company says there may be a discount available
on the insurance premium depending on the make and model of the optional remote control alarm fitted to my new Cooper (collecting 27 March).

I am sure this information is somewhere on this site but I can't find it.

Can anyone help, please?

I went through this with my insurers not so long ago. They wanted to know the make and model of the Alarm/Imob.

I downloaded a document from Thatcham's web site (http://www.thatcham.org ) that gives details of all alarms and imob's they rate.

The Imob (fitted as standard) is a BMW EWS III Transponder, and the alarm (optional) is a BMW DWA MY 99.

Combination of the two gives a Cat1 approved system. I got a 5% discount.

Which is nice!

Indie Blue/White Cooper ordered - Expecting Late March... hang on - make that mid March.

No, wait - it's here!!!!!!!!!!

Woo Hoo!!!

I can confirm those details as they are identical to the ones my insurance company printed on the insurance application form.
