Offline | Test Drive? Just thinking about this. Did you test drive a mini before you purchased one? Did you purchase one without ever seeing one? I did not drive one or see one in person. Looked at them online and purchased it sight unseen. I am very happy with mine. Motor on!!!! Randy |

Offline | Well I got in a Cooper for a test drive, turned right out of the dealership and pulled up at some lights. By the next set of lights I was sold and decided to by one there and then! |

Offline | The salesman drove me around while we looked at the various storage lots for an S in the color I wanted, but I didn't actually drive one until I took mine home. Absolutely no regrets, although I wouldn't do that for any other vehicle. |

Offline | Absolutely had to go for a test drive. I've driven too many cars that look great from the outside by handle far differently than I expected them to. Had to know if the MINI handled as well as it looked like it should. Went to the dealer and they had zip, zero, nada in stock or available for test drive (the GM had one, but wasn't available for a drive). So, I happened to spot a used MINI and took her for a spin. Was so delighted that this car handled better than I expected that I was sold after I nailed it on the onramp to the freeway. ![]() |

Offline | Test drove a cooper s, still haven't bought one yet (plan on ordering tomorrow). I was already pretty much sold on the car before the drive, but taking it around curves marked with yellow 15mph signs at 55mph and having a feeling of complete confidence in the car's capabilities put the final nail in the coffin. It will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine. On a side note, the salesman who went with me on my drive didn't seem phased at all at my excessive speeding. All those test drives he's been on must've desensitized him to it. |

Offline | Re: Test Drive I test drove both MC's and MCS's in various configurations before I decided on a Chili Red MC with MiniMania Stage One kit. I'm quite glad I went through the process of defining what I wanted to purchase in terms of color and packages. Scooter is a dream!!! |

Offline | As much as I was taken by the overall look of the Mini and knowing it came with a Supercharger and six speed, I never ever would consider buying a car without taking it out for a test drive. If I don't feel comfortable with a car, great looks, big power or a great deal is not going to when me over. 7 months later, I have no regrets. |

Offline | I'd been looking on the net and specing one up but couldn't decide on the JCW pack or not but luckily they had one at our local dealer when we went for a quick look. One test drive later and I was sold!! I won't buy a car without driving it first, for me I like to test the driving position first and then how the car handles. There is nothing worse than being uncomfortable in a car no matter how well it drives. |

Offline | I test drove a One a while before I got my Cooper. Then I test drove the Cooper and loved it. Then I went home and agonised about whether I should buy my third car in 5 months. The next day I attempted to test drive an Alfa 147 but after an hour of waiting around in the dealer I gave up. Went to the MINI dealer the next day and ordered the car after having another test drive. When I got home I nearly rang up to cancel as I worked out just how messy my finances would be in the short term. Buying my MINI ruined my finances for about 6 months. I had to withdraw cash on my credit card to have enough money to pay the deposit. It was painful but worth it. My MINI is truly wonderful. |

Offline | Drove one to confirm what I had read and determine that I would be comfortable in it. Huge grin the whole time. Took the wife and she knew immediately owning one was inevitable. Makes me smile to remember that drive... MINImeat B/W MCS |

Offline | Saw the MINIUSA webb sight and knew then that someday I would own one. Drove one just a few blocks and told the wife that we would get one as soon as the price came down to MSRP. About a year later we had one. |

Offline | Test drove one for 20 mins.. Was sold when I was pulling up on the freeway and bf noted I'd better not pull up anymore as I was already going 160 km/h... I had no idea it was going so fast, it has so much powerrr. And each morning traffic lights make me laugh, it's the fastest little thing in the city. Oh and 110 km's left until brake-in is over!!! (which will be tomorrow) And I'm already having so much fun!! |
