My spotlights just arrived from NewMiniSport - much faster than expected! I've looked through the fitting instructions and there's no mention of them needing activation by BMW. The last step says "When spotlights work on main beam, they are fitted correctly". Does this mean these don't need to be activated?

Hopefully they won't be too hard to fit...

Sorry I don't really know. I have the factory spots and they only work on the high (main?) beam. It is VERY cool however to have those babies at the ready when someone complains with a flash about your zenon low beams. he he he...

i think you need the activation when you have 4 spot lights.

The Mini Sport lamps do not need to be activated and work as soon as they are fitted. I fitted the set to my S and they work fantastically

i think it might only be the official MINI lights that need activation? i'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong

yes, its just the MINI lights that need activation. You will have fun fitting them - i didnt have the guts to wire mine up but i fitted the bracket and lights
