After market Xenons

I have a April 02 Cooper S pre Chilli option - it has everything bar the Xenons - has anyone bought an aftermarket H7 xenon kit ??

Regards Matti

i don't know about aftermarket, but i believe you can retrofit the factory ones. i think that bridger's site had a howto on this.

Alrite mate,

If you do a search for after market Xenon's you should find a price.

But i believe it's £350 per Light, so unless your going to have one £700

Not sure what you mean by H7 Xenon Kit. A search on Google returned a number of Xenon kits but when examined in detail were only H7 bulb replacements, not true Xenon or Bi-Xenon gas discharge bulbs. The H7 Xenon bulbs have Xenon gas in them but are still halogen type bulbs. I tried Osram's web site recently but nothing was available at that time. They are one of the few manufacturers who manufacture bulbs instead of re-selling them. I take it you really want the real McCoy? It must be possible to retrofit the factory ones but how much you have to remove to enable you to do this may not make economic sense at BMW prices

It's the real McCoy i'm after - just found HID-online who offer the kits for around £375
similar to the Phillips HID kits - but for off road use only, however as the MCS (halogen) still has the self levelling headlamps I believe they would be road legal. When the dipped lamps are switched on you can hear the motors groan and adjust the beam throw.

Do the OEM Xenon headlamps have everything inside? (Are the ballasts and igniters inside the headlamp assembly?) If it is so, then it would be just a matter of changing the headlamps? The set of instructions on bridger only talk about the washer installation. it doesn“t say anything about the xenon light assembly
