Offline | Well you can't get a new car without something awful happening in the first few weeks. My boyfriend decided to add some oil, left the filler cap on top of the motor, slammed the hood down, and OUCH!!!!................My mini took a beating. The underside of the scoop is broken-AND the hood dented approx 2in long and 1/8in high. NOBODY is allowed to touch my car anymore. Lucky for my boyfriend I calmed down after a few days and am now able to speak again in full sentences. This will be expensive. But my Mini still runs great. |

Offline | Sorry to hear that. It may be possible for one of those "fix a dent" places to work some magic and make most of the ugliness go away. + 2002 MINI Cooper S - Dark Silver / White roof, Sport, Premium, Lapis blue leather + 1965 Mini Traveller - Tartan Red / White roof, 1275, Cooper S discs, fully restored/renewed |

Offline | Miniweee, Valentine's Day is around the corner, and I think you certainly have the advantage in hand over your boyfriend, for him to truly make it all right by you Like Tavis1 says, milk it for all it's worth ![]() |

Offline | Dealer told me to check my oil regularly in the beginning because new cars tend to use a lot in the beginning.. He probably just wanted to be safe... But yeah, use it for valentines day compensation. ![]() |

Offline | There is no need to slam the bonnet upon closing. I close it gently all the way down and it locks in place perfectly. To have damaged the scoop and dented the sheetmetal it must have been one heck of a blow! Anyhow, look up your Yellow Pages and locate a Paintless Dent Removal Specialist (PDR) in your area. These people can "massage" out dents from almost anywhere in the body (Provided that the dent can be accessed from behind the panel and that the panel itself is not double braced) and it will look good as new, like if nothing had happen to begin with. Expect to pay anywhere from $50 to $100 but in the hands of a well trained PDR technician the dent will be completely erased in about 20 minutes. Here is a link to "Dent Wizard" www.dentwizard.com Good luck. '02 Cooper CVT PW/B '05 MCS CR/W |

Offline | Thats a great idea. Oh and by the way it was a quart low-after 3000 miles. I had to drive across country to get it back. I will see about dent wizards. Yeah-I definetly think I should get " star" treatment for valentines day. thanks!!! |
