Driving Light brackets

Hi,

I have just attempted to fit my OEM driving lights and although i have done the difficult stuff - i.e. removed bumper, fitted bracket, put bumper on etc.. - i now need to fit the light brackets.

I took a look at the instructions and there are no details on fitting them - so i figured it couldnt be that difficult....

Anyway, i think i can see how they go together but the screw fitting the light bracket to the bar looks WAY too long and very silly. Did anyone else find this? If so, what was your solution.
