| Grinny's the Mini 4 me! | Mini Flyers.. Does anyone else collect them? I started collecting the free paper adverts that are available in the mini dealerships since launch day, and i believe that i have every single one ever made. Does anyone else collect these things, or am I in my own little world? Some examples: Mini box office flyer, Mini body shop flyer, Mini luggage flyer.. If there is already a link for this collectable stuff, please let me know. If anyone else finds this interesting, i may scan them all in and put them on my gallery. | Grinny's the Mini 4 me! | That's exactly the excuse I needed! Watch this space and in the next few days I will upload them to my personal gallery. I'm guessing that is the best place, or i suppose i could start my own website... Ian M. ![]() Ian M Grinny the mini - Trippin the light fantastic! |

| Aimee | Mighty, I thought you might be interested in this as a collector. I was in my local Tower Records (movie/music store) the other day and found a 'magazine' (if that's what you would even call this thing!) dedicated entirely to advertisements. It had tons (and I mean tons!) of really cool Mini ads in there. I'll try to find out the name of the magazine, and maybe they just might sell it over there in some store that carries all kinds of magazines. |

| Grinny's the Mini 4 me! | Thanks AtomicKiwi... Part of the fun is actually seeing a new flyer on display and taking it home, also getting funny looks and comments from the car showroom sales staff, etc, but if you could let me know the name of the book, I would like to see it for myself.... My cooper is one of the very first, being ordered on U.K. release day, and being delivered a month sooner than expected, and so stuff goes wrong with it all the time! This is one of the reasons I get to go to my dealer often and pick these things up.. I also have one of everything that was available at the birmingham motor show when it was on, including ALL the car window stickers that were only available to the VIP's (you had to have your mini keys on you to enter a owners only enclosure.. i also got the signatures of the mini stunt team that performed at the birmingham motor show... the Russ Swift family signed on the back of a mini dress up kit which was several pictures of a mini from all angles with re stickable wheel options, body kits, and roof decals etc. Ian M. ![]() Ian M Grinny the mini - Trippin the light fantastic!Last edited by 'THE MIGHTY IMP' : Jan 26th, 2004 at 11:34 PM. | Grinny's the Mini 4 me! | OHHHHH BAAAAABBYYYY! IT CAN HOLD EM ALRIGHT.... I reduced every single file down to 30% of it's original size, and i have put at least the front (and where interesting the back) of every different flyer i have that could fit on the scanner! there are many that are big thick brochures, and if any one wants to see inside them, i will do scanning requests! this has been a labour of love and really has taken 8 hours to scan, edit, resize, and upload! PLEASE, IF YOU LIKE MY GALLERY (under special characters and numbers - due to my name starting with a ' ) let me know, and also give me a rep point or two! The camera.. you want to click the camera! this mind control lark is harder than i thought! i suppose it's early days, and very early in the morning in the u.k, but i was hoping for a bit of a reaction to my gallery.. i think i'm getting too needy! ian M ![]() Ian M Grinny the mini - Trippin the light fantastic! |

Offline | Guilty as charged. I am also collecting the myriad printed materials from MINI as well as the give-aways, tip-in advertising, posters and the like. The neighbors obviously caught on to my sickness as one of them came back from the UK and brought me some of the printed brochures and JCW pamphlets from the local dealer in London. Trust me on this, you have a lot of company out there! |

| Grinny's the Mini 4 me! | ncdave, don't suppose you fancy spending half a day scanning in a few, do you? i found that keeping them around 300 pixels wide or high was sensible. you can still zoom in on the detail, but doesn't take forever to upload/download. i did use my broad band computer to upload em all though. couldn't have done it on my narrowband p.c's! ian m BTW my rep has magically soared over night! I'm soooo happy! ![]() ![]() ![]() Ian M Grinny the mini - Trippin the light fantastic! |

Offline | I'm still trying to figure out (for about a year) how to reduce the resolution of my photos so I can get a shot of my MC online. Once I sort through that, I'd be happy to get some online. I am working on it with a renewed vigor but I admit to be a technical (computer-related) disaster. |

| Grinny's the Mini 4 me! | load picture into paint, click on image, click on attributes, work out how 'too big you picture is in %age terms, and then use stretch skew. (also under image) eg. picture 750 x 750, needs to be 500 x 500, stretch skew by 75% length x 75 % height easyyyyy ian M Ian M Grinny the mini - Trippin the light fantastic! |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | Hey Mighty Imp. Enjoyed looking through the material in your gallery. I have a lot of that stuff too but not all of it. I have some different Motorshow stickers and my Motorshow badge is signed by Russ Swift on the back! ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |
