The REAL reason why Mini's are so cool....

I saw something today which is a very rare sight in London, but just remended me of how much I love my MINI. I parked early this morning in the carpark near the tube station which I travel from, and when I came back this evening, there was another MINI each side of it - a silver one and a green one!! It just put a huge smile on my face!!

Yellow Cooper parking

I guess I would park near other minis but I seldom see them here in Virginia Beach. I do however park next to an island so that I can get as close as I can so my door doesn't get slammed into from other cars. 3 weeks after getting it I came out of a restaurant and found a big ding in the passenger door. I don't care if I have to walk a long way I will always park that way so no dings.

Hmmm....sounds familiar.....hahaha...!!!

Last weekend we went and did our weekly shop for food in my MCS.

Being a Saturday afternoon the local carpark for Tesco's was nearly full.......drove arouind a bit and found a space next to an identical (as in All Black) MC...!!!

Wifey thought I was the saddest person on the planet.....although my 4 year did make a comment about the "car next door"......now who's sad.......!!!!

I can never catch 'em sittin still!
Washed mine at the coin wash the other day and was just finishing the drying when a Cooper in exactly the same color combo as my S zooms past my stall.
Unspoken but obvious love from other owners has eluded me, so far.

Me too. I love doing that, and I bet the other MINI owners enjoy coming out to see mine next to theirs!

Olly, that's cool

Must admit myself that I've chosen silly parking spaces just to park next to other MINIs... well, except Foxtons Coopers, natch...

Was so happy this morning to find a Silver/Black S parked right next to my PW/Bl Mini. Like a little message...."Hello". Hehe. Made me happy.

Why does every owner of huge, hulking vehicles like Ford Expeditions, Lincoln Navigators, and Hummers have to park WITHIN INCHES of my MINI when i go to great lengths to park far away from other cars?

Seriously, I'll park way the hell out there in la-la-land where there are NO cars and by the time I come back, it never fails... Some doofus has parked his tank so close to my car that I need a can opener to get back in?

I'm dreading the first door ding (which I know is inevitable)

i always park next to other if i can. here in michigan there is no dealership for at least 2-3 hrs away in detroit or chicago so they are still kinda rare so to see 2 together is special. last weekend i was helping with a birthday party for the classic car shop i work at part time and there was 5 minis. i have never seen that many in one place outside of a dealership! thats almost all the minis from the area. I only know of just a couple more.

LOL... Now THAT's funny. I have yet to park near another MINI. Like some of the other comments, I don't see others that often. But when I do, there's always some sort of recognition. A black one passed me on the highway and the driver made a point of looking over her shoulder and waving. Very cool. I saw another one pulling out of a parking lot as I drove past and I honked the horn like crazy. My passenger (and best friend of 30 years) looked at me like I was nuts and commented that a simple wave would have worked just as well. I tell ya, I couldn' t help it. When I'm in that little car, it, like, possesses me and I want to do weird stuff. One of these days when I go through the drive-thru, I want to stand up and pay the money through my sun roof.

Sit long. Talk much. Laugh often.

Brilliant - I love it when you see a MINI on the road ahead, and you (safely) try to get close to it to travel together for a few miles... don't know why but it makes me feel happy and excited!
