Offline | autoweek is reporting that ugliness on wheels himself will get a promotion to oversee design of not just bmw, but rolls and mini as well. i say let's start a petition right now: send in $1 to pay to get rid of him and ship him off to hotwheels. or get your mini while the getting is good. flyboy2160 ![]() |

Offline | For those of you who don't know who Chris Bangle is, he's the American-born chief designer for BMW. His styling influence was first seen on the new BMW 7 series, which created such controversy that the car was given a subtle redesign a year after it came out (unheard of for a new model). He followed that up with the Z4, and the new 5 and 6 series. Truth be told, while I didn't like the new look initially, I am beginning to warm up to the 7 series (still not sold on the Z4 yet), and I must admit that I was very surprised that I actually like the look of the new 5 series when I saw it in person (photos of the 5 series do not do it justice). |

Offline | The 7 is a great looking car IMO, I've alsways loved it from day one ![]() All other bangles however are poorly proportioned. Where his designs do have great details where I think Bangles designs fail is the sum of the parts do not make a great looking car ![]() Over design is his problem I think ![]() The new 6 has got to be his worst yet. Who in their right mind will spend Ģ50k+ on such a dreary looking car ![]() MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those............. It's now TTime ![]() ![]() Unofficial MINI2.com bean counter |

Offline | The 6 looks like it fell off a Chrysler assembly line. Let's hope they don't let him get too creative with the MINI. Where do I send the $ dollar? Missing my buddies Dan and Ed but glad I have two angel buddies , And on a quest to Right Secco's Wrongs |

Offline | I like the new range of BM's (ducks). It's about time they tried something new. Good luck to Bangle. J '06' Cooper S Convertible - Astro Black, '04' Mazda RX8 231 - Black |

Offline | I did have a bit of a bang on the head yesterday when I fell over in the ice (6 times - stranded in the middle of a forest on a hill). But... BMW rule. '06' Cooper S Convertible - Astro Black, '04' Mazda RX8 231 - Black |

Offline | bangle is managing to destroy every nice BMW there was! The new 7 series is horrible, the new 5 is horrible, inside it's even worse (the MINI has a much nicer standard of materials used than the 5) Surely BMW are loosing loads because of the 5 series, think how many more Mercedes E Classes you see around now! I'm not sold on the Z4 yet, although I am warming to it! I hope he doesn't start on the 3 series and definately not on the MINI! |

Offline | i actually really like bangle, he is a really nice guy (met him once )and also, i have a feeling that that is a bit of an exaggerated rumour... possibly the truth has been bent a little? and no, that view doesn't coincide with my meeting bangle, my sources are not that good (!), i'm just not convinced ![]() |
