Rain Sen.

I know on the Mini's the int wiper mode is a fixed time delay, which some times is a pain in the ass. its either raining to slow and the wipers judder and squeek or to fast but not fast enough for full wiper mode. If you have the rain sensor fitted and have the wipers on int mode does the rain sensor adjust the speed and delay of the wipe? if not i can't see the point of getting that option.
Thanks

You cannot get the rain sensor!

It is part of the visibility pack.

You can't get it because the rain sensor is causing problems. What the problems are I am not sure except it is relating to wiring! It has already been delayed 18 months! You can't even get the diming mirror or heated windscreen either because of this rain sensor problem.

*ARGH*

I want it but doubt I'll get it, month till build day!

In the US, the rain sensor is bundled into the Cold Weather package for $500. (and yes, it is supposed to vary wiper speed according to the amount of rain hitting the windshield at any given time)

Or, alternatively, the rain sensor is sold separately (with the auto dimming interior rear view mirror) for just $140.

Haven't heard about any delays for these features on US bound MINIs.

To my knowledge (and it is limited), there are no Cold Weather Package cars arriving on U.S. shores as of yet. Apparently it's because of this very problem.

The int wiper mode time delay does vary with the speed of the vehicle.
