Thought those who are familiar with red and green Cooper Apple might like to know that at the international Cooper S media launch she (or is it a male car, anyway) got a mention from the MINI UK General Manager.

MINI PR sent a photographer to take some pics of her last Friday (yes, Apple is a she), apparently to do with an article/promo material on how owners customized their cars.

The photographer was on his way to take pics of a black and cream car (=Guiness) and a red car with black spots (= ladybird) in Norfolk area I think.

My dealer did mention this to me when I collected my car, so it was not a cold call

Nothing as I was happy that they were interested in my baby! I did ask the PR firm to let me have a copy of the finished article, and have provided them my e.mail address. Just wait and see I suppose

Don't know yet, however, my own dealer hinted that photos of these cars may appear in some magazines (please let them be car-related

)!

BTW, colours came first before the name - thanks to R50 who for whatever reason, had a set of paint colour chart on him at the MINI meet in Gaydon last October.

I believe the idea of calling her "Apple" should be credited to either R50 or smiffy - one of them came up with that idea while we were at Gaydon!

R50 and smiffy, where is the leaf you guys said would make for my car??? Only joking BTW.

The one before was called Ian, which was OK.

I have named my dealer, tho can't really post that....it does rhyme with fotally looseless carsoles.
