No idea, not even sure when it goes into full production, or if it is already.

It would be a shame to learn the black art of MINI seats to only waste that skill by fitting new ones though surely?

Why would you want it retro fitted, as far as I know there is nothing wrong with the old style seat mechanism - it looks to me as if its just a different style of handle! What does it do different to the previous one which I have on my MINI

Your passengers must be much better trained than mine. Even if they get it right after instruction on the way in, on the way out they get it wrong.

From what I understand from Paul's post, the outer handle just controls rear entry (if you will pardon the expression) and the inner handle just controls the backrest angle.
