Hi all,

I've been a mini owner now since last October and like all of you have seen the number of minis on the road increase massively! Up until now getting a club together was always going to be difficult (over here numbers are still quite low) but we have decided we are going for it.

Any ideas on how to get people involved! We have printed out some flyers which we will leave on windscreens. It does seem a little primitive though and could take for ever. I'd appreciate any ideas. What should be our first steps....? How long should we wait for organising the first meet? etc etc etc

MAMA started out as a thread here on MINI2 supplemented by membership applications or business cards stuck on unsuspecting MINIs and handed out at independently organized runs/meets. Since late July, 2003 we've grown to 56 members.

Thanks Max. Good idea about leaving flyers in the dealers! It is as I figured a slow start until people start to get know about it. Just for now we have business cards...I'll get onto it and keep you all posted.

I wish I was back at home though, Cornwall. I could then have managed maybe Brighton to Bristol in the UK big run. I would have loved it. Bristolian thru and thru. Never mind, we'll replicate that over here in the sun!
