| MINI2 Regular | I went to the dealer, they are entering on the mexican market and they let you as part of theyre sale process have a test drive. I start it and I heard the beautiful noise comming out of the special tuning exhaust made of stainles steel, beautiful noise, I always thought that the horspower of the litle elise was not so hi to be on the super cars section, and let me tell you you dont need more, is just amaizing what this litle engine can do on 800 kgm of wheight, the handling of the car is just amazing, even that Im used to drive mi MCS with 17¨ the diference is like you are used to drive an grand marquis and the you drive a mini, as that much is the difference, the response incredible, the suspension is not so hard as mi mini, is confortable, but well I just want to tell you how much I enjoy the little ride sadly was on the street not on a race track and last only a few minutes. I still love mi Mini and I do not have the 49,850 usd to buy the elise. |

Offline | I have never driven a car of that kind of performance but my uncle used to own a Caterham Super Seven. The engine was about 170bhp but it weighed just under half a ton so it was sooo fast. I would describe the handling in a similar way to you, nothing could keep up with it. |

| MINI2 Regular | Yes it is the best, power against wheight is the way to go, minimalism, that is way once I start a thread of how we can loose wheight on our minis, because the engine is soo powerful that putting on a diet our minis can run much more faster. | I'm building this special thing... Hello, I'm building a superseven, 400Kg and 180Hp... you can imagine its performance! It does 0-100Kmh in 4.2 secs and 0-160-0 in around 9 secs. Build pictures can be found at: http://striker.cauli.com http://www.extendas.nl/striker/20040131.htm (latest images) Best Regards, Marcel Cauli The Netherlands BTW, I also own a Cooper S Works... I think its gives the best driving for money for a daily drive car. |

Offline | My uncle also built his Caterham. His knowledge of cars was good before but now he has some serious skills. I will one day own one for a track car (but sadly not for many years), I have never been in anything like it. You will get everybody racing you if you drive it on the roads. Amongst the failed attempts were many Porches, TVR's and a few Ferrari's. You are a lucky guy !! |
