Exclamation Official top three colours.

Top three official colours in terms of sales for the MINI are as follows (information from MINI themselves):

Red/White.
Silver/Black.
BRG/White.

Least popular colour so far is Silk Green.

Any comments on the above?

I would have thought Silver/Black would have been the most popular colour with Red/White coming a close second.

Apart from that it sounds about right

I too was surprised by the red/white being top. Apparantly it is a close run thing between the top two, but then the other colours are all pretty close in sales, but significantly less than the top two combo's.

Question Any word on metallic gold?

All I have is the little spec brochure, in the book of motoring. Darnel, at Irvine, CA BMW, said gold isn't "listed as an available color"....what hae you all heard?

AFAIK, it's not available anywhere.

Check out the MINI USA site for all the colors available.

Gold wont be a colour option for a while at least. There as been a decision there will never be more than 12 colours at one time through the range. Including pepper white, and velvet red and the two s colours we have reached that twelve.

Two colours standing in the wings are Gold (most likely to come in at some point) and Candy Blue (lovely colour, unlikely to ever be released). Of course more may be added too, but there will never be more than 12. (Unless things again change dramatically).

In the last year, I have been set on almost every color option. Right now, I am with Red/white. Hate to go with the crowd but daaaaannnnnggg that is a sweet combo!

Most fun on 4 wheels.

Well... Since my colour choice is number one, then I suppose I'll be seeing my car in all of the magazines, and advertisements, and in the background at the movies.

...and if (god forbid) I ever decide to sell my first-ever, 2002 MINI Cooper S sometime in the future (not bloody likely) it'll appeal to a wider audience.

That also clinches something my dealer said: That I could get the MINI Cooper S faster if I picked Red, Silver, Electric Blue, or the grey colour. I guess the first run is of the popular colours, and the exclusive S-only colours. Neat.

I've managed to convince myself that the Red/White combo is the ultimate colour choice now anyways. The pics of the Red one in Portugal (Thanks Paul) didn't hurt either. Nice pictures.

Chilli Red/White Cooper S, Sport Pack & Sunroof. Delivered June 12th, 2002!
Now with MCS Winter Tire Package.

Let me see....3 blues, 2 reds, 2 greens, 2 silvers, 2 blacks maybe gold and ONE pale yellow. Maybe they should consider a bright yellow for the S.

The whole world is buzzing about the MINI!

What have I been saying all along that the red/white combo was the best and now I have been proved right.

I actually quite like the silk green in the flesh - looks good with a black roof and at least is not "common"

Not so keen on the candy blue (sorry Paul ) but would love to see a nice purple!
