To remove curry stains from clothes you sprinkle on a few drops of lemon juice, leave overnight and wash as normal. Not sure about leather though.

You can get leather cleaners for sofas which may work or try using some saddle soap.

I cannot substantiate this, but I believe that saffron (assuming this is what coloured your curry) is a dye, and cannot therefore be effectively removed.

I do however, hope that I am proven wrong.

BTW, my digestive system must be yellow in colour !!!!!!

If the worst happens and you can't get the stain out you should be able to buy a new seat cover from your dealership. It will not be cheap though. Here's hoping the stain comes out!

This is a lesson that everyone should learn - buy yourself the cargo net for the boot, it's very handy for curry transportation!

Probably not saffron (too expensive) but turmeric. I know it is very hard to get out of clothes as it really is a pretty effective dye.

Tough one on leather but there are loads of cleaning products available for specific types of stain (stain devils etc) maybe one of these product manufacturers could offer advice. Here's one at http://www.staindevils.co.uk/

Alternatively ask at a specialist dry cleaners who might be able to have a go at removing it. Probably worth a try before you fork out for a new seat cover.

If I ever go for a carry out I wrap it up in an old towel in the boot.

Good luck.

I doubt it'll come out. Best bet is to buy a new seat cover.

If you can't get the stain out Linden, you should check out the cost of having that part of the seat retrimmed and compare that to the cost of a new seat cover.

Hope you are not going to palm it off on some other poor MINI unsuspecting owner

First time someone sits in the passenger seat they'll get a nice boot polish stain on their troosers as well as the discovery of a lovely yellow stain on the seat

no not at all, i am not like that!!

there is a perfectly valid reason why i wanna mask it, plus, shoe polish should get it out anyway!!!, if not, will colour it properly and not leave a stain!!
