the 48 hr post delivery report

here comes the mandatory 48 hours post delivery report

-first thing noticed is it shifts better than my 99 M3 (replaced by the MINI)
-like the suspension a lot, stiffness is just right, I got the 16" rims so I don't need to worry about pot hole (bad experience before, even SSR vs.pot hole is a no win game.) I will add swaybars down the road to eliminate some of the body roll though.
-yes, the auto AC is noisy as others have pointed out here, but hey, the nice muffler sound cover it up once you are moving, really like the muffler sound.
-yes, leather is not worth the premium because when my co-workers sat on my leatherette seats, they said "nice that you have leather seats too!"
-yes, the heated is really an "overheated" heat as others have said here, I only set it to one LED and I need to turn it off only after a few minutes...
-got the new clip-on swivel cup holder and MINI mug, freebies from dealer, it works pretty good as the two center cup holder can virtually hold none of the cups on earth. However, it will make a knocking noise when going over rough road because the mug is not a tight fit inside the cup holder.

I think the car is worth the 8 months wait so far...and I wonder why my hour long commute suddenly seems so short

Sounds great and Congratulations!!!

I'm hopefully going to take the plunge and place my order within a month. Like you, I'm going with the leatherette, but what's up with the noisy auto AC....I haven't come across that one yet?

I believe I've seen several posts here saying that the auto AC is kinda noisy, and it is. Even with only 1 bar fan speed, it is like the 3rd bar fan speed of my integra. so far I can only recall this thread here:
