Offline | It's only a software "switch" (see our DIY on how to install your own on board computer) your dealer should be able to do this in a few minutes. Our trials and tribulations living in a "bleeding edge" eco house... Oxley Woods Living |

Online | Don't worry, this is perfectly normal. I'm not sure since when, but MINIs now come with the computer button on the indicator stalk. I also didn't order the on-board computer but have got the computer button (I was hoping at first that they'd accidentally installed the computer). I suppose this makes it easier to retro-fit the on-board computer now. |

Offline | If you ordered the OBC function (which I assumed you had), then there's no reason not to get the dealer to "switch it on", if not, then not likely..... Our trials and tribulations living in a "bleeding edge" eco house... Oxley Woods Living |

Offline | My car is a Nov 03 build also, which is an 04 model year. As such, they have added the digital speedo, so that is why you have the button on new cars, to scroll between speedo and temp. Older ones (without the button) had no speedo, only temp. 2004 MCS: BRG/W -- Sport pkg, H/K, Sunroof, white bonnet stripes |
