Question Beam Benders

Taking my red hot baby (and the other half ) to France soon for a 'wee mini adventure'.

Has anyone fitted beam benders to their mini for driving on the European continent?

If so are there any problems using standard beam benders, or do I need to get special ones?

Any advice appreciated.

Most of them are in bed by now so I'll try.
The UK is still a RHD country. Europe is mainly, if not all I really don't remember, LHD.
Headlights are biasedslightly to the curb side of the road so if you take a RHD to an LHD country your lights beam right into oncoming traffic. Not good.
Beam benders correct this.
Just found a good sight with pics.

Thanks obehave! Funny thing is I just had posted a question last week about my xenons as I noticed they weren't level completely. So I knew this, making my question about beam benders even more stupid!

There is a new one out, not new new as such, but it actually has a pic of MINI headlamp on the packaging, and the sticker for MINI (standard lamps) is a round disk, quite cute really, compared with the old one

Saw them in AA shop in Channel Tunnel terminal as well as the M20 Services at Junction 9

They may be available from Halford, however, I have not been there so I would not know for certain

Because of the curvature of the MINI headlight I find that Beam Benders don't adhere properly and a spot of rain and a high speed run makes them fly off. I recommend carrying a roll of black electrical tape to hash up a temporary replacement.

They fly off dead easy - if you get a stormy windy day they last 2 miles max

Strange, I used the Halfords stick ons, and they lasted for 10,000 miles in all conditions, including bad weather that resulted in me having a new engine. Recommended.

United-Kingdom Thanks

Thank you all.

I will take along the Halfords beam benders, but judging by some of the replies I think I will also take some black tape in case they come off.

Roll on holidays...

I guess I'm being retarded here but why don't you use clear 2" tape to keep them on in the first place? Better than tossing out money for no reason. That or get some of the clear headlight protectors and mount them under that.
Besides you can use the clear tape for sending me appreciation packages for my clever, helpful ideas

The new (round) ones I used behaved themselves during a long trip in France recently, until I tried to peel them off - the glue bit refused to come off without a struggle

Bring black tape and scissors, just in case - I do all the time

Yup. It's like everything else - folk can come here and do whatever they like, but when we go abroad....................

I'm off to the Maldives in a few weeks - apparently my other half might get her copy of Cosmo confiscated 'cos it's pornographic.
