Offline |  Greetings from the New Guy Here I just registered here but have been reading the threads for quite a while now. Anyway, I live in Orange County California and presently have a 1968 Mini. I am seriously in the market for a new Cooper S. I love both cars and can't wait to get my new MINI. I plan to use my new MINI for work and play since I am a real estate appraiser and drive quite a lot of miles. I originally considered getting a regular Cooper with the CVT but have been advised that they are not such a great design. That is unfortunate because the waiting list for an S at Long Beach Mini is presently about ten months and I am not willing to pay the crazy premiums that other dealers are demanding. Offline | Welcome. The Cooper comes with a 5 speed as well. Tere's an awful lot of Cooper drivers and many with CVT and I don't see them talking about a bad design. At least not any more than us S drivers complaining about yo yos and gearing being too tall and such |
