Offline | This thread is very interesting and informative. I live down in Gilroy, south of San Jose about 30 miles. I have yet to take my Mini in for service. I bought her on eBay and did not go through a dealer. I was wondering about where I ought to take her for service. I was thinking Mountain View. Does anyone have any suggestions, advice? Who is the service manager there? I really don't want to go all the way to the East Bay...but if I have too... To SF JAMES: Much thanks for the valuable service advice. I hadn't thought of that. BRAVO! |

Offline | I know this thread's a bit old, but I think it's got some good info in it. I wanted to add my vote for MINI of Concord... I went there to have a problem with my door fixed under warranty. Since I live in San Luis Obispo (200 miles away), I like the fact that Concord has Saturday service. I brought it in at 8am; it was ready by 11:30. They actually didn't have the part there, but considering that I was only in town for the weekend, they made an effort to go get the part that day, so that was cool. Their customer wait area is pretty nice; fancy coffee, donuts, and a plasma tv. I worked with Ron; he was polite, respectful, and straight forward. I was quite impressed; their service was far superior to my local BMW dealer. |
