Arrow What colour scheme????

Hi

I'm probably away to order a new mini cooper (12 - 15 week delivery, how will i manage the wait ) I know i want it to be in indie blue and that i want stripes....but

do i go for:

White roof, white bonnet stripes
black roof, white bonnet stripes
black roof, white viper stripes
white roof, silver viper stripes
black roof, silver viper stripes
white roof, viper stripes, blue on white, white on blue....

I would really appreciate any feedback and would love to see any pictures of any of these combo's as i haven't really seen any.

Cheers

Colour's such a personal thing, try going here: www.mini2.com/forum/memberlist.php?do=search and searching for the various combinations you've listed (making sure you select "personal gallery - yes"), that should help you.

IMO the stripe color must match the roof color (exception being body colored roofs)

Like GMINI03 said bonnet stripes should match roof color. I would add that viper/Shelby stripes look best on cars with body colored roofs. There is an Indy blue car some where in here [Indy blue show case I think] with white viper/Shelby stripes, that is gorgeous. Having said all that I must tell you that I don't have any stripes on my car so what do I know . Just remember that picking a color combo for a MINI is like cooking a scrambled egg---hard to mess it up really.

I love a thread like this...allow me to ingratiate myself by suggesting you check out my gallery. Although I'm not doing the viper stripe thing.

So you asked for it: IMHO the white goes better with the IB. A coworker has the blk with the IB and it looks kind of flat. A roof graphic will make the car that much easier to find in the lot. And yes, you should match the stripes to the roof somehow...

Now this is fun:

The problem is so many members have listed information like “me and mike and the MINI in front of the Eiffel tower” instead of “Indie Blue, White Top and Cooper stripes”, etc.

The former makes is very difficult to search for the latter.

You cant do that in the MINI profile sections, which is what this searches: http://www.mini2.com/forum/memberlist.php?do=search it's not a search of the galleries, but of people's profile details.

Do you realise that it's just about impossible to read yellow on the MINI2 Light Blue/White colour scheme.

Now that is a search I was not keen too. Sounds very useful. Sorry about the yellow...I had to perform a classic "cut and paste" job and the standard black text wouldn't show up with my color prefs...a website as individual as the car we love...SWEET!
