Offline | Just ordered my mini cooper Hello I placed the order for my cooper yesterday - would have gone for the mcs but insurance wouldn't allow, it was going to be £1000 and a £1500 excess. Now the grand i can cope with but the excess.... Guess i will just have to wait until i'm a bit older. Anyway, i have 6 days to confirm my spec and just wanted to know if there was anything else i should go for... Mini cooper (indie blue, white roof/mirrors/alloys/bonnet stripes) Chillie pack. 17" whell upgrade. Harmon Kardon high-fi interior trim = alloy patina (s) single cd with changer prep (tempted with changer also) ASC+T Mini spot lights... ![]() mini TLC I'm also tempted with the areo kit but that can be added at a later date. Originally had the supaguard on the list but took that off this morning. Any advice is welcome - also pics with and without aero kit.. roll on delivery date... (may)cheers GAM ![]() |

| Maxin' and Relaxin' | congrats gam the wait will be a killer!! i've been waiting 2 months for mine. spec sounds really good, there's one i see daily with the same spec (exterior anyway) and it look great. if i were you i would give the aero kit a miss as i like the look on the indi blue with the chrome on the bumpers - just my opinion though. you could always fit it later if you get bored. |

Offline | congrats GAM, nice spec you've got there. IMO The Aero Kit looks really good on the Indi Blue, if you've seen the new italian job the indi blue MINI looks stunning As you said though can be added after, although I think it costs a lot more to do it that way |

| Hi, Mini spec sounds good. I have a Mini Cooper that matches what you have specified, without the aero kit, check out the pictures in my gallary. I decided to hold back on getting the aero kit because 1) It looks pretty good without 2) I thought I might see what else is on the market after the warranty runs out. As for the Harman Hi-Fi kit, I also have that and it sounds amazing! Well worth it if you're happy to stick with the Mini head unit. |

Offline | Thanks for all your comments. How much is the multi function steering wheel? The car does look good without the aero kit but i think i would rather have the bottom of the side skirts indie blue instead of the standard black. But it would definatly be at a later date i would put the kit on. Counting the days already .....GAM |

Offline | Hi GAM. MFSW is £160 I think. You can just add the aero side skirts rather than buying the whole kit. Come & say hello at www.newminiscotland.co.uk Cheers, KenL Red/Black R56 Cooper |

| MINI crazy! | Sorry to ask, might sound stupid for those who know but what means TLC? You could get the aero skirt from the dealer but I think they will be much more expensive than getting them from the whole aero kit. I remember asking my dealer for those and the were half the price of the complete kit... (at least here in Canada) I would also get the MFSW as it's not too expensive and it's great to have both the radio buttons and the cruise control on the steering wheel for the long road trips... Have fun with your upcoming MINI! ![]() |

Offline | TLC - is the 5 years servicing pack that you get in Britain, Costs £100 and to my knoledge is well worth it. When you mention cruise control, do you have to pay extra for that or does it come with the steering wheel? Thanks for the link about the side skirts, I will look into that |
