United-Kingdom AMD uk, thank you !!!!!!!!!!

I would publicly like to thank Craig, Ed & Scot at AMD for their assistance this week.

After fitting my One click chip last weekend, my ECU was damaged , this was however was NOT AMD’s fault, I rang them Monday and told them the problem I hand i.e. no spark and no petrol, they told me to send them the ECU and One click chip, which I did the following day. Wednesday I had a phone call to say they could sort the problem out, I then had a further 2 phone calls Thursday and Friday to keep me informed on developments. Today I received my ECU and One click chip, and now I have a BIG smile on my face.

Lads thank you again for your very quick assistance

Graham

What happened to "break" your ECU? Was it "user error" if so, it might be worth posting here what happened so other new OneClick customers can avoid the same fate.

Hi Paul,

I was supplied a AMD one click chip from a well know company (who I’m not going to name as I’m not like that) who sent the chip blank, obviously I didn’t know this until I installed it and a code error 21 was shown, at some point after trying several times the chip must have been removed while trying the final procedure, this together with the code error coursed the ECU to have its memory totally removed.

I’m to blame for 20% of the problem and the company who supplied me the chip must take the other 80% of the blame, however if the chip and been program properly in the first place the problem would never of happened.

AMD have written a very comprehensive guide to fitting this chip in colour, I was sent a black & white photo copy which doesn’t help when the lights on the chip are in different colours, luckily I had printed the fitting guide from this web site.

When AMD rang me Friday they said they can down load the total history of the chip and this is how they found out what coursed my ECU to fail

Personally I would only use the AMD puller too which is a much better idea than the one I was sent as space is limited at the best of times.

Finally I must say the upgrade is very worth while

Graham
