Oooh, grrrrrr, ouch.... vent!

Some of our neighbours were moving out today, I don't know where to....

In the process of moving their stuff out (and I didn't see this until after they'd gone), they've left a scratch (well one big scratch and some smaller scratches top and bottom) on the rear quarter panel (drivers side) of my MINI!

Plus some finger prints where they probably did that "ooooh" touchy thing.

Didn't bother telling me, probably guessed it wont be too cheap to sort out.

Damn it makes me MAD!!

Just had to get this off my chest, been bugging me all day.

Thanks for listening.

Sorry to hear that Paul....

Its pretty shoddy they didnt say anything.... could have been the removal men ?.... is it worth contacting them ?... If you can remember the firm, or even know it, or if they even had a removal firm ?....

Finger marks? That's evidence! Sue 'em!

But seriously most minor marks polish out fairly easily.

That was very generous of them to leave you with a parting gift. just out of interest were they neighbours that you knew well or didn't know much at all?
I bet you are glad they have moved.

Sorry to hear Paul. Hope you can get it repaired to your satisfaction. Too many people think a car is nothing but transportation and have no respect for anyone elses feelings or property. That's why I spent over 2 grand for a lift to put the Vette up on. Otherwise, something would have had to sit outside in the driveway as the neighborhood kids spend their evenings keying cars.

Unhappy

Time to hire a hit man.... messing with MINI's is no minor offense!!! It's actually very immature of them not to admit to their mistakes and offer to pay to fix it. IBMiniG is right, no one wants to take responsibility for their actions anymore.

Personally I just couldn't do it, I couldn't damage someones car like that and keep it quiet!

They moved themselves out, so no removal company, it was all their own work.

How can people live with themselves after doing that to somebodies pride and joy!

For getting rid of stratches i always use stuff called G3 its much better than normal polish for getting rid of minor scratches but it cant always perform miracles.

Feel sorry for you Paul. knowing who did it, but not knowing where they are, makes it all the worse. Hope the scratches come out OK.

It was acceptable in the 80's

Sorry to here that Paul, I found a small scratch on the front wing of mine yesterday and wasn't best pleased.

No chance, some of the "side marks" will rub out, but this is a bit of a gouge.

Paul - they must have left a forwarding address for mail - but I guess that they'd deny they did if you caught up with them

I empathize with you, Paul.

I just had my other *very special* car (a 2002 Ford Thunderbird 2-seater roadster) in the bodyshop for a 6" scratch in the front right fender and 2 chips/dings in the right rear fender... 3 days and $540 to fix and when I finally got it home I found a scratch in the left (driver's side) door and a chip on the rear bumper.....
I sure don't remember them being there when it went in, but I can't prove the shop did it either...

so I guess it's going back in a few weeks.
