I've got a trade stand booked but in addition to only being aloud into the hall with fumes in your petrol tank, they now want my keys, and the battery disconnecting. - My car is supposed to be a demo car - how can I demo the gadgets with no battery
I know about health & safety but this defeats the object of taking the car
I spoke with them about the possibility of having the battery off for 3 days showing fault codes or warning lights & they didn't know what to say.

I'm part of the team games, and we've had to do lots of health and safety work for them, its taking a bit of the fun out of it. but taking the battery off from a demo car does sound ridiculous, i've been to loads of other indoor shows e.g. stoneleigh which dont have any of these restrictions!

i was meant to have my car there but told them to stuff it when she told me the rules

She rang me back & said a few people have made comments about batteries & new Minis so they will allow them to remain connected. The key & fuel rule remains

I am showing at this and think the whole thing is a total farce so far, I will not be handing over my keys, or disconnecting my battery. My insurance will be invalid if I pass the keys to a total stranger and something happens to my car

I am sure if enough of us say NO there really isn't much they can do

Glad the battery rule has be chucked out the window, I mite need to show off my stuff! Cant wait to see the gadgets in your car Mikey!

My wife's driving school were asked to take their cars along, but they told them to stuff it too. Added to the other rules they wanted the cars there from Friday evening until Sunday evening!
