Black Roof White Stuff on hinge and Boot area - MINI Cooper Forum

We have just picked up our new MCS PW/B and noticed that there is a white substance that is very hard to remove on the hinge area of the boot and the area surrounding the inside of the boot opening. Has anyone else seen this, and what is it.

if it is on a hinge I would guess it is white lithium grease but that is just a late night WAG

No this is a substance that looks almost like the spray foam stuff. It is very hard and will not come off.
