| MINI2 Irritant | Which MINI Model is Best? Ok - this is bound to cause some debate - but which model is best & I am not just talking performance, but styling, driverability, ownership, resale, looks, wow factor, grin factor! and most important value for money! |

Offline | Personally, for me, at the moment - the Cooper. Combines the best in terms of performance, fuel economy, insurance and the suchlike. Not taking anything away from the other models though - each one obviously has its advantages and disadvantages, but obviously people buy the model that suits them best. Mind you, when it comes to replacement time, I might deel like an 'S' - or maybe - shock horror - another marque! Horses for Courses - but they're all MINIs so they're all great! MINI Going.....Toyota Supra RZ-S Twin Turbo Coming....Standing Quarter, anyone....? |

![]() Man about the house | I would have to say the Cooper mostly due to cost of ownership being a lot less than the S without too much lacking in performance. I also prefer the Cooper bonnet to the S. If I had the money however, I would have the S of course. D-lite-full |

Offline | Cooper. It's the best compromise between performance and price. You get a decent-sized performance boost over the MINI One and good running costs compared to the "S". |

| MINI2 Irritant | mmmmm - although I have a MCS, if I were to change in the future I would probably move to a Cooper with Chili and AC. Dont get me wrong I love my MCS, but after spending a week or so in a Cooper I just think the all round package is better. ie the 5 speed gearbox in the cooper is a joy compared to the 6 speed mcs. The cooper certainly feels nippier arround town and not so heavy! - then when you chuck in the superior fuel economy and insurance aspects it begins to add up. The only thing the cooper doesnt have is that whine and wonderful exhaust note of the S. But do those two things make it a better car the the cooper! - I dunno you tell me? |

Offline | The best MINI is the One. In most manufacturers model ranges the best car is often the base model. ![]() There is just one moon and one golden sun; And a smile mean friendship to ev'ryone; Through the mountains divide, and the oceans are wide; It's a small world after all. |
