Offline | A day in the life... 24 MINI hours. I found an old "Day in the life of Africa" book last week and it got me thinking. Remember the "day in the life" books? They would get 100 photographers together and let them loose over a 24 hour period in a selected country... Has anyone ever suggested picking a day and MINI owners around the world who want to join in take a pic of of their MINI and send it in to MINI2? If everyone tries to take a special image of their MINI in your part of the world rather than the average snap in your driveway It would be a great thread.I think it would be a really interesting collection of photos and may even get a run in goMINI or MINI international. If anyone is interested I'll pick a day cjay. |

Offline | count me in....I've also seen something similar over at ipodlounge "iPods Around the World" http://gallery.ipodlounge.com/ (I even contributed a pic of my iPod in front of the Kasbah in Tangiers, Morocco playing what else, "Rock the Casbah by The Clash). I think it would be a lot of fun... |

Offline | Sounds like a good idea, it would be good to give members a really nice long time to "get ready" to snap, then a while to post in their photos, to get as many as possible. There aint no party like my nana's tea party |

Offline | Does anyone remeber the book america 24/7? Where everyone in the united states submited their photographs taken in one day, and they took the best pictures and made a book out of them? I think it would be cool to name this project Mini 24/7. |

Offline | I'd strongly suggest getting this moving so that photos can be taken in Fall...all you in the North East can really knock us out! This would have to include both New and Classics I presume ?? I'd take my shot at the top of Pikes Peak! Sunrise at Stone Henge? Iron Bridge? This could be presented in a website or website segment. What a great idea! Peter in Denver |

Offline | Don't see why we cant keep it a "new MINI" thing to be honest. There's lots of "classic Mini" things. Be nice to start a few more of our own things. ![]() There aint no party like my nana's tea party |

Offline | Well.....I guess it depends on what this is intended to do. I don't see it as an us vs them issue as I have been and probably will again be both an us and a them. I don't think it should be either..I think it shoud be whatever pictures are the best. I can see it as it was presented...like the Day in the Life books. People taking delivery...people at the Dairy Queen...People at a funeral...it's about the people...and how they interact with their environment and each other differently because of the MiNI. Of course that's just my opinion..I could be wrong. All we need really is a place to upload the photos to and a date. I suggest the weekend of September 18th and 19th. Early Fall...Colors turning...weather still very nice... This first effort won't be the best...but once people see it they'll want to participate next time. Peter in Denver |
