Can anyone tell me where i can get one of those graphics that have the persons name and car under what they have posted,or do people do them themselves ?

They are called custom signatures - i think most people make them themselves, i'm sure there are some rules and regs posted somewhere about what size file and pic etc.

Avatars are the small pictures under your username, if you have created or assigned one.

I think you are talking about the signatures.

These will explain how you do them.

If you look in the 'Goodies' link at the top of this page, you will see
'Forum Signatures'

If you see one you like, right click on it and save it to your system. Somewhere you can easily find it again.

You can then edit it in 'Paint' to put in your name.Then upload it to your 'Personal Gallery'
and add it as your signature.

If you want a better one, or different pictures on it, then you will need an editing program, something like Photoshop. You can then design anything, but it must stay the same size as the templates.

Thanks for the help,i am still a bit stuck.i have got a signature,i have uploaded it to my gallery so how do i add it as a signature in edit signatures?,being a bit thick with these computers i need a walk through guide as where to point and click

Use your intenet browser and call up your signature so that you can see it.

Then cut the URL or your signature, and then paste it between [img] and [/img] tags in your signature (can be found under your User Control Panel).

As in [img] http//www.mini2.com......../yoursig.jpg [/img] WITHOUT the spaces before the URL (added for illustration purposes).

I believe the gallery actually has a feature that generates the URL for an image so that you can cut and paste it in posts and signature.

Forgot to mention, the non-Apple's MINI adventure graphic sigs in my collection of pic sigs are gifts from a very generous person
