I was actually considering the RX-8 because I'm not single -- I wanted a sports car that I could use to carry my wife and 4.5-year old son. The back seat and suicide rear doors are great, in theory at least.

That's one of the reasons my buddy picked one up. He has a wife and two kids and needed something a little more practical than a true sports car. The 8 fits that bill nicely.

GSXR-1000 situation...

Don't get me wrong it wasn't a race, I know my bikes and he could have blitzed me if he wanted to, however he was revving away expecting me to change gear, soon realising I was changing at a similar time than him... he glanced across and moved over to take the round a bout before me... was fun whilst it lasted.

Either way I've ordered an RX-8 and it's not to race motorbikes... It's an awesome car but as I've said very different than a Mini.
