United-States Mini Cooper Desktop PC (photos included)

I thought all of you might get a kick out of a project we just completed. It is a fully functional Mini Cooper S desktop computer we built from scratch. It is painted a custom color to match our logo. I took some quick photos to show it working (see below--sorry for the large file size).

It’s kind of hard to tell, but the actual size is 14 inches long x 8 inches wide x 5 inches tall.

Right now it’s running the following:

Processor: 1Ghz
Memory: 512 mb
Hard drive: 40 Gb
DVD drive
32mb on-board VRAM
Built in 10/100 ethernet
2 USB ports
5.1 audio
7 LED lights (headlights, fog lights, logo light and tail lights)
Windows XP

It’s for presentations here at work and runs just about everything we throw at it. It actually makes a cool multimedia computer for home or something cool for the office.

We’re thinking about building more, so I’m interested in your thoughts.

If you have more questions please feel free to email me at apvitale@aiindy.com.

Andrew

Very cool! My brother-in-law recently built a Dodge Viper themed desk top and it turned out very cool, but it did not have the cd/dvd rom like that. That is awesome!

Now that's what I call an original item

Personally I'd make it a bit bigger so a bigger processor would be possible..
but at least a very neat design... congrats

I like it, very cool
I have seen others as well, a company makes computers with lots of different things as shells, but unfortunately I can't remember their website.
