Offline | Mini v wife!. I am in the start of building a conservatry on the back of my house. My friends and wife said they would lend a hand, fantastic I thought, so I am out the back laying the concrete and they are out front mixing and stuff. My dear and ever loving wife came out the back and said they wre running out of cement and she was off to buy some more, I said 8 bags was ample so off she went. 1/2 an hour later she turned up , I went out front to help unload her.... my car!!!! my 02 mini with 1/2 of B&Q in the boot!!!, "why use my car?". Her reply," well your car is always so clean and tidy and a joy to drive". No more and the spare key is hidden, as I say "you can't get the staff these days". No damage done thank goodness just my mates on the floor howling. ![]() |

Offline | My sweet and lovely wifes Ford Escape looks like it had been through a war. The interior is piled with more junk than Fred Sanfords yard. Whenever she wants to use the MINI for any period of time, I Iook over at her car and roll my eyes. She's rough on cars, so I keep her away from mine. But she does let her car take the beatings when we make the trips from Home Depot. |

Offline | If I asked my wife to check the thread, she'd look inside her sewing box. True.Kerbing is not something my missus has trouble with, but hear this: It's nearly closing time at the supermarket and the car park is all but empty. The same car park that her car suffered £400 of damage in (Land Rover backed into the headlight/bonnet) only four weeks before. Of all the hundreds of bays available for her to choose from, she chose to squeeze in the the only bay that had cars parked either side. I try to educate her to think defensively, I really do, but I might as well speak Swahili. |

Offline | You blokes do realise that ladies read the forum?!! As a trainee driving instructor I consider myself to be a good driver and far better than a lot of men!!!! My problem is with my husband who likes to use my mini for all trips to the skip etc......he's now thinking of selling his car and using my car as it would be cheaper for his commute......never gonna happen!!! ![]() beautiful in white! |

Offline | Maybe we should change the thread from MINI vs wife to MINI vs spouse, since there are some good women MINI drivers that have to suffer with reckless husbands ![]() |

| RedUn's Manicurist ;-þ | omg this is too hilarious you guys! haha, Fred Sanfords yard! I admit that my Ford Ranger truck is nasty inside as well...I asked MMiller if he'd unload the 'trash bag' I had going in my truck yesterday (as it was my turn with MINI), I also had to warn him it was a little stinky inside. Snack remnants, grapes gone bad...an old piece of cheese, etc, you get the pic. The MINI is always so cleeeean! (and I never curb it!!! ) though I don't care if the truck rolls over a curb here and there ![]() ![]() |

Offline | My wife is a better driver than I am, I admit it. But she also manages, and I have no idea how she does it, to take a car from sparkling clean to so messy it needs to be emptied, vacuumed, and possibly even scrubbed, in a single day's use. I love her dearly but I hate swapping cars with her! |
