Can't believe the difference!

I collected my second new Cooper last week and I am amazed by the difference. They have changed so many things since I collected my first way back in July.

1. Firstly the new one doesn't rattle like a pebble in a tin can! (Thank god!) The quality of the interior is vastly improved.
2. The gear change is completely different, less friction between gears but a more defined contact point.
3. Pedals seem to have moved! I can't get my foot onto the rest plate next to the clutch in my new car.
4. The hazard lights don't flash when opening car, only when locking. Why?
5. The ariel is mounted in a more upright position.

Basically what I am trying to say, is that BMW have been busy and the MINI is far better for it!

I think this is to do with the car memory that can be set by the dealers

The exact sentiments from my dealer after driving their new demo MINI.

I would say this lets the owner now the car is locked and the alarm is armed...some cars chirp the horn...I'd rather have the lights flicker.

Maybe this answer you knew, but were more wondering why it didn't flash the lights when you unlocked the car too...don't know this one...BMW must of felt this wasn't necessary...

Probably a Cooper (really want an S though)
Jet black with black roof (w/ custom pearl clear coat over custom metallic-in-clear bonnet stripes)only noticable if you look real hard for the stripes...
Premium Pkg

Cold Weather Pkg (wait until sept / oct build to get heated windshield)

I was told it is to stop thieves with "Grabbers" sitting in car parks spotting they have unlocked your Mini and jumping in. Supposd to have been a Thatcham suggestion to BMW.

Could be complete rubbish, but sounds plausible.

Always, the "to sum up" is the most important part of any document

Pleased to hear things appear to be generaly improving.
