England Flash, Beep, Wave or Gentle Nod

When seeing other Mini drivers is there a certain thing to do in recognition??

1) Flash Headlights (if in front)
2) Flash Hazards (if behind or past)
3) Beep (my choice)
4) Wave
5) Gentle Nod

I think 3 is to be avoided to be honest as you would probably look like a weirdo

Also is there a split on model also

ie are we MCS owners to acknowledge other mini owners D ONE & Cooper??

One hand waved gently in the air and possibly headlights flashed also if road conditions allow it.

Except if its an attractive girl then all five of the above at the same time.

MINI not coming now so i'm going racing instead

I am on a mission to alert all mini drivers in my area that flashing is a good thing. 2 quick flashes is what I do and then nod if they give a response.

There are however a select number of the older population whom havent a clue, and look like they are trying to figure out where some sort of electrical item is controlled by, e.g. opening windows.

Ive got into a crazy habit of doing some kind of stupid military salute. Have no idea why, but i keep doing it in the spare of the moment then cursing myself afterwoods for being a complete loser. There is a mini around my area who has seen me doing this a few times however and has now started to salute back! Woohooo!

While I flash and then wave to all mini2ers,
There's only 'one flash' for a pretty lady.

Similar for me. Usually it is an excited wave though, I don't see too many others.

Cool

Flashing or waving seems to be the most popular, I favour the flash myself.

It's difficult though to remember that you are not in your Mini if you are driving another type of car. Sometimes I get carried away and flash Minis when I'm driving the familiy people carrier or my trusty classic Triumph, this really confuses the other poor mini driver who thinks there must be something wrong with his/her car, it's one of his/her mates or theres a speed trap up the road!!

Not waving but...

I had heard about this MINI owners bond, but was rather disappointed that very few other MINI drivers seemed to flash or wave or anything! Generally I find MINI drivers with the same colour car as me (Indi Blue) or the same chequered roof often wave, but I've yet to have anyone flash hellos. There are just so many of us around these day! Guess I need to take the initiative..

Having been an avid campaigner in the MINI waving steaks - It seems to me that if you have a MINI in the same colour and make as the one approaching you (and for me that is a chilli red mini one) you are more than likely to get a wave. I think all those driving coopers and copper s' should stop being such snobs and wave to every MINI driver and not just those with higher spec cars!

PS - to the young boy who passes me most mornings in Wisbech - if you are reading this - stop being so miserable and wave at a fellow MINI One in chilli red when I wave at you!!!!!

Rant over!
