Can anyone help with price?

I am thinking of changing my car to a Lotus Elise.

I have a 2002/52 MINI Cooper S Works. It has 28.5k miles, with the Chilli Pack and cd player (upgraded to BECKER). TLC, full service history and a BMW tracker.

Many thanks
Chris

thanks.

Going to pop to my local dealers at lunch to get a price. Was preparing myself for worst of £16k. £17k seems fair, might try and stretch it a bit privately though - or am i pushing my luck?

Not sure how the JCW kits stands up in the residuals - but I would say that your car without the kit would be worth 14.5-15k tops (private) so anything over 17k selling privately would be a good deal. Perhaps have a punt on the web autotrader at 17,495 would be my best advice!

Thanks Bobnoski.

Will wait and see what the dealer says and will probably put it up at £17.5k.

Is there a waiting list for the Elise in the UK, I think there is one here?
Anyway I envy you, that car is going to be a blast, stay here on M2 and post some pics of the Elise when you get it, so I can cry myself to sleep.

Maybe they are not far off with their quote. It seems to me they have taken a £20k car, knocked the VAT off, then factored in 10% depreciation per year for 2 years to arrive at that figure. They offer you £13,600 - you up them to £14k. They then prep it and stick it on their forecourt for £15,500, allowing £500 for haggling. Then again, what do I know about the prices of used MCSs with JCW packages? (The answer is bugger all).

"Do try to keep up Nigel!"
