do i drive or not drive MCS

i'm getting my MCS next week. i can't wait. question. i still have my older car. 1994 altima. good shape. my job was only 3 miles away until recently. i bought the MCS figuring i would put about 8,000miles a year on it. last week i just got a new job. it is 28 miles away. this will rack up at least 14,000miles on my mini just for work. i'm considering using both cars to keep the miles on my mini low. but i don't really want to drive my altima anymore. but i'm afraid to put a ton of miles on my new mini. with work and play i will be putting around 20,000 a year. thats 100,000 in five years (when my payments will be done). as apposed to 40,000 i had thought before with my old job. what would you guys do. would you just drive the mini and put all the miles on it. or swich cars once in awhile for work. i would like a good resale value. i plan on getting a regular cooper in a few years when they put in the getrag 5 speed, raise the horses to 140 and put in a true BMW engine.

Its the standard aerokit grill.

You can buy it seperately from the whole aerokit too. Its relatively cheap.

Hope this helps.

It does look quite good on the electric blue actually.

Drive the MINI, you'll arrive at work in a better frame of mind and everyone will wonder why you have a big grin on your face every day.

I drive a ute to work ( i live about 30 km's away) and keep the JCW for the weekends and crusie days. Old Cooper had 32000km in it within 2 years! (I had it 1 years and put 20000km on it)

Drive it that is what is for!
the difference in resale between 50,000 and 100,000 at 5 years will be what $500 to $1000 right? or an extra loss of about 50 cents a day think of all the fun you would be giving up for less than the cost of a extra cup of Coffie a day!

To answer the original question, I would say drive it, it doesn't sound like you want to drive the old car anyway

Thanks man,
As ScottyB said, it's the aero kit's standard grill. The aero kit costs about $1200 USD(without installation) and includes the new front bumper, grill, side skirts, and rear bumper. Of course, I have the black bonnets and the rally lamps too, but those are extra. The front grill itself is pretty cheap, and you can install it by yourself.

But I say drive the MINI, MINI of Mountain View recently sold a 16000 mile Cooper S for above MSRP!!!! How many times do you MAKE $$ selling a car??

Bleh. You always get raped on trade-ins.

When I first took my Nissan in as a trade in on the MCS, they said $2400. I said that was a joke, and they eventually offered $3000. With a bit of bargaining they said they could do $3500. Still not worth it though and Ill probably try and sell it privately.
