Well, Mine has a sort of Street Sound which I suppose is a Cross between Lane Language & Highway Hum, which together contribute to its great Tarmac Tune

I hope so. The last thing I bought my MCS for was a wisper quiet Rolls ride. But with the windows down and the stereo blasting, I'll never know!

Having driven a mud-tired, soft-top Jeep for the past six years, NO, the MINI is quiet!

His - 04 CR/W MCS

My brother and I both have bluetooth kits in our MINIs and we've found that the road noise is... "susbstantial"... when one of us calls the other in their car.

We've mounted the microphone up in the sunroof control but it seems to be excellent at picking up the ambience of tyres-on-tarmac and terrible at picking up voicecomms. That's even at what I'd call slow, so 50-ish. If I take a call driving at or around the speed limit on the motorway then I know the caller will have serious problems hearing me.

Maybe it's a mic thing. (Advice from audio techs welcome!)

But ignoring that, I don't have an issue with road noise. I didn't buy an executive saloon, and I've got a stereo for the rare times when I don't want to listen to the whine of the supercharger
