Offline | Got an unexpected wave.... I keep waiving but haven't gotten may back lately , seeing more and more MINIs on the road. On the way home last night I go a big wave from a yellow/white cooper before the freeway . I got on the freeway and a speed bike pulled in behind, a bit of traffic , so I just kept behind and he passed me, up ahead there is a great ramp that goes from one freeway to another, about a 110 degree off camber sweeper, I think I surprised him as I took the lead before the ramp, and could see him accelerate to keep up, the warning speed is half that of freeway speed but I kept on the gas, in my rear view I could see him leaned way over. I think he thought he would catch on the bend but Mindi (that's my MCS) wasn't having it. I know my little ride got some respect , when he passed me I got wave from him too. I think the MINI is the only car to get respect form a motorcycle, good times! The thing I like about on ramps is that they are technically the same speed as the freeway with only recommended slower speeds (designed for a 1 ton truck) I don't condone speeding or racing but MINIs love the grey areas where they can show their stuff. After a year an a half... still lovin' it! WARNING-Objects in rear view mirror have a tendency to disappear! 9/20 build '03 MCS IB/W/W, everything but the NAV & Sunroof |

| Aimee | I've noticed that in particular, motorcycle drivers really check out my MINI! Maybe it's because we're so small.. or maybe it's just that it's so easy to read their facial expressions because they don't have a windshield in the way. Either way, motorcycle drivers have been really nice to me when I'm in my MINI! |
