Basically thats all i want to know, will the latest 3 spoke steering wheels fit my 02 cooper ok? will there be any complications etc?

Yup, it will. I looked into this for my '02 Cooper S.

The only problem is you need to change the airbag. That raises the price alot! I only know the price in Canadian dollars. A dealership quoted me around $2000 CAD for the final install. I think its just too much for a steering wheel.
