Order Changed - Now I'm getting a facelifted Cooper

Having ordered a new Cooper just over 5 weeks ago for delivery in early June, I’ve been on this site almost daily to find out what to expect. Seeing the facelifted MINI last week, got me thinking – do I want to get a new car to find that it’s out of date almost straight away?

Anyway, I changed my order today for a 2005 MINI Cooper with the following spec:

Chili Red/White Roof
White Bonnet Stripes
Chili Pack
17” S Spoke Wheels with SS+
ASC+T
Boost Single CD Player
Auto Air Conditioning
Alloy Patina Trim
Anthracite Roof Lining
Electric Folding Mirrors (includes Heated Mirrors/ Washer Jets)
Heated Front Seats
Harman Kardon Audio
MFSW
Visibility Pack
Xenon Headlights with Washers

Well chuffed now that I’ve changed things as I learned something new when I was at the dealers. Originally, I wanted the Red/Black cloth leather seats, but this meant having red door trims which IMO look a bit garish. With the facelift, you can now get the red/black cloth leather seats, but with black door trims etc – Brilliant.

The only downside is that delivery has been delayed by another 2 months until early August, but I know that I’ve dome the right thing. The original wait until June seemed bad enough, but this is going to be almost painful. At least there’s this place to help me through the difficult times.

Anthracite roof lining is having the interior roof colour black, instead of grey. You can get that option on most BMW's. I have been in a BMW with that option & find it makes the interior a bit darker.

The roof lining is £100 and the powerfold mirrors are £160. Obviously a straight conversion to $ usually doesn't work, but will give you a ball park figure.

I sat inside the Hyper Blue MCS at the NEC show yesterday and it had teh body coloured trim, must say it was very nice!
