Offline | Better Visibility Hi all, I've noticed, as I'm sure many of you have, that the rear view mirror on the MINI is very small. That coupled with the shapeof the rear windshield provides limited rearward visibility. It's not bad, but it isn't good either. So, if you're like me, and use primarily the front seats, fold down the rear seats. This provides much better rearward visibility as well as a more open feeling, not that the MINI's claustraphobic! ![]() |

Offline | Believe the facelift model is getting a larger mirror, maybe you'll be able to change it for one at some stage in the future- the mirror I mean . I know what you mean though. |

Offline | The thing is, I can see from C-Pillar to C-Pillar with the current mirror, I know why they're changing it, and one of the very first things I said when I first sat in a MINI (god, more than 3 years ago!) was that the rear view mirror was tiny, but if it's any bigger, the only thing I think you'd see more of is the interior. ![]() Our trials and tribulations living in a "bleeding edge" eco house... Offline | lol very true - think im just used to square shape mirrors - the oval shape mirror gives the perception that you could actually see more if it were bigger or squarer, when in actual fact what you say is true. |

Offline | One of the first things I noticed also. My Nissan Pulsar has a huge rear-view and the MINI one I could almost fit in the palm of my hand. ![]() It is a smaller car though. ![]() - Global Moderator - MY BLOG - Global Procrastinator - ![]() ...
